An actually decent Monday
I hope all the mothers on my flist had a great day yesterday ^^

Hmm, busy weekend again. After been tortured on Saturday I decided to recover by going to the bookstore - it's been so long, about 3 or 4 weeks since I've been to any. And its sad that I'm counting.

Picked up The Boleyn Inheritance I told myself I was going to get anymore in her Tudor series until I read The Constant Princess, but meh, I needed something.
Also saw Sherrilyn Kenon's Devil May Cry, IN PAPERBACK ;_; Cheap paperback. This is where I started screaming "God damn it!"
Oh well, also saw LKH's The Harlequin in paperback, which is the only way I'm gonna buy it and only when I have the money to blow.

Going to see Iron Man this Saturday. Yayzers. The last movie I saw in the theater was Transformers. Also saw that on tv over the weekend and Disney's Meet The Robinsons. Ignore the fact that I have it on DVD, I'm only seeing it on tv. It's so sweet! Love it! I see what your love for it is Renee.

Was talking to my BFF Abi about movies, and she's all shocked that I don't like Toy Story. Remember that movie? I don't get people's abiding love for it. I thought it was sorta...I won't say it.

BSG. What the frak??? What is it with TPTB and women?? They're turning into SGA's TPTB -__-
Friday's episode was AWESOME!!!

But what's up with the new season of Doctor Who? After last season's sheer awesomeness, this season is weeeaaakk. I just can't like it. The plots are weak and so far all they've tried for is emotional tear jerking. I like Donna as a companion, but after lovely Rose and kickass Martha...
I do love however how Donna seems more to be of an equal to the Doctor. She's not just running behind him all infatuated and starry-eyed. She challenges him and she seems to have this way of stating the most profound things that leave the Doctor speechless or bumbling so casually and out of the blue ^^
But still, by this time last season we even had Shakespeare ("Hey nonny, nonny!")

I'm so tired and far gone. I almost threw a tantrum over lip gloss (which is the one feminine thing I always have with me oddly enough. I really like lip gloss. No shades though really. Just plain lip gloss. Or chocolate or vanilla flavs!)
Night ^^

Diwali (Warning: graphic heavy)
I've had these photos since last year and I'm just posting them, can you believe it? Lazy, lazy Ren.

So late last year, my little sister Sita (she calls me her big sister, hehe) who's getting her teaching degree, as part of a religious education module had to research different religious practices and she chose to do Diwali, an Indian festival of lights (plus her ma's Indian, so why not?). She asked if I wanted to go, so I said why not and accompanied her.

Note, this is a highly concentrated version of what happened.

Randomness
Didn't go to work today as I needed to take a break. Plus, all this stress and non-stop work recently has been bad for my health. Very bad -_-

Nothing major, just relaxed today, slept, eat lunch, watched a Mighty Morphin Power Rangers movie (cheesy shit. Billy's still my fav.) that was on tv, played a Mario game on DS and here I am, helloes.

I missed work today and I bet something exciting actually happened today -_- Story of my life. Back in high school, I could schlepp through the weeks and months and yet the days I missed I'm suddenly awarded medals, honor roll status, something major happens. Punks.

Nothing new, Stephenie Meyer's The Host was released on Tuesday. Do Want. Will get eventually ^^

Battlestar Galactica tomorrow night is all I'm looking forward to now, whoo~

Being busy. Proper update later. Meme time!
Stolen from [info]stacy_l:
Book meme!

1. Pick up the nearest book.
2. Open to page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the next three sentences (in your own journal!)

That she was waiting for him, a woman awaiting a courageous man in search of his treasure. From that day on, the desert would represent only one thing to her: the hope of his return.

"Don't think about what you've left behind," The alchemist said to the boy as they began to ride across the sands of the desert.

--from The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho

No clue what's going on. Traveling I guess :)

Elmo's World....
I saw this lady the other day with these Dookie braids. Ew. What a blast from the past. I laughed so hard, it reminded me of Sheneneh from Martin (remember that mess?), that oh so very 90's character. I know what's old is new again but please, not that. Still have the same urge to set the braids on fire (and it is flammable. It's the Dookie braids with burned ends *shudder*)

I've been scarce (try non-existent) but work has been slavery, SLAVERY!!! Wage slavery, but slavery nonetheless (I mean, seriously, those people are nuts). On the upside, in order to compensate for the misery and tedium at work (I mean, they say if you have enough monkeys and give them enough computers with enough time, they'll eventually bang out Shakespeare - well they can practice with my job) I have been trying to see and talk to my friends a bit more often than I usually do, so yay at least ^^

Compensation also takes place in the form of books - buying them at least if not reading them. I finally got Stardust, The Alchemist I've been hearing so much about for the longest time along with Pillars of the Earth, The Constant Princess (a follow-up to The Other Boleyn Girl), finally picked up Sherrilyn Kenyon's Devil May Cry, this new epic fantasy novel I saw on Amazon The Name of the Wind aaannnd I went for a new copy of Pride and Prejudice but they were out, so instead I got The Complete Novels of Jane Austen *squee* Finally!
So pretty, hardcover but squishy-ish with gold trimmed edges - it reminds me of those giant old timey bibles. Hehehe, I could carry it to church on the rare occasions I go, and sit in the back as usual and read. I'm due for a smiting anyways >D

Haven't started to read any (;_;) but I've started to read Kim Harrison's Rachel Morgan series (at work no less. No reading at all at home nowadays) I squeed when they made a Sarah McLachlan reference in one of them (did you see it Kat? Huh? Huh? Huh?). In The Good, The Bad and the Undead our heroine lives in a church and another character when she brought them home asked "You live in a church?" and she replied "Yes, but I don't sleep with voodoo dolls" "What?" "Nothing." Cute!

Drama Pt. 2: The Shit Storm Continues (Feel free to skip this part) )

Anywhoos, more tomorrow (will be on LJ more! Yes!) I'm off to iron unfortunately. If I had it my way I'd wear my pajamas to work, but alas, it's not meant to be.....

Surfacing
Hey y'all!

Yes. Still here. I've been so busy it's not even funny. It's probably been over a month since I've even popped in for a visit on LJ or even on my comp much (it's been gathering dust. The horror.) so that should be an indication of how busy I have been. Freakishly busy and just working and sleeping, working and sleeping. It's better now, it's letting up and getting better thankfully ^^ It's paying off apparently as I may have an upcoming promotion, yaaay, months aways though (probably jinxing it >_< *knocking on wood*) (That's quitter talk Ren!)

Work has been stress, bleh. Also lots of drama. More bleh. Today was also especially tiring as once again, people demonstrate how they can just be...well, people. Oh Jesus, the drama. The doorraaamaaa.

Cut for Drama Pt.1 )

Loooots more drama coming up. I hate the working world. Jesus, I wish the Debbies would come back from Austin.

I missed LJ and my flist so much *glomp* and realized just how much it helps keep my sanity ^^ Another story.
I was just quickly going over entries and apparently there's a planned LJ protest tomorrow night so I don't think I'll be updating then...

If I don't get to log on again, Happy Birthday to [info]trekqueen *giant clingy hug*
Oh my God, it's been a year, I don't believe it :D I hope you have a great one! AND CAAKE! (El screwo any dieto!)

(My Dad's b-day on Monday too. Oddly enough I always forget when that is and yet it lies on St. Patrick's Day. I'm a terrible daughter >D)

Sorry if this post is weird or overly wordy or something. Today was killer and stressing. Night y'all!

Wierd randomness...
So anyone who knows me knows I hate my boobs. Bleh. I really am going to get around to exercising them off or something. I realized last week that most of the bras I wear are Wonderbras @.@ Doesn't that just make it worse? How did I buy them without noticing that? I probably just grabbed ones that fitted and didn't cut into me...

Also up to drinking 2 bottles of water a day now, yay. Now just the thought of drinking soda or juice turns me off a lot of the time now, and interestingly enoughMild mention about bodily functions. Don't worry, it's not everybody poos )

Also, the end is nigh! THE END IS NIGH!!
My mom is getting another credit card. When she mentioned it I laughed so hard. She got all pouty about how even she can change and grow (laughed some more *evil*)
This is the same lady who with her last card many years ago only paid the minimum each month and let it roll over. The bank started to call about how the wanted their money and they called for an entire year, till my Dad who kept harassing her about it, got pissed and went to the bank and paid it himself. He claims he's spoiled her since they've been married and it's true, cause he's the only one who does the bills and stuff (workers at some of these places have told my Dad that he has credit standings and ratings many would be envious of) He has tried to get her to take care of such matters in the past 'cause he says if anything happens to him she's clueless and it's true.
She claims she's changed and I understand her reasons for getting another one now but this should be interesting to watch...

"Sweet reunion, Jamaica and Spaaain, we're like how we were again"....
That damn song's been stuck in my head all day. No Vh1 first thing in the morning!
Oh Amy, so talented, I hope she cleans herself up (she won 5 Grammy's though, yay, but Natalie Cole is pisssed about it -_-)

So yes. I fell off the face of the earth for over a week and even the weekend was nuts. This is the first day I've been on my computer for more than a few minutes in over a week. Long story short - new job (yaaay. food ;_; and I don't have to be so broke all the time now >D I left my old one last week of December. I can't believe I forgot to mention this), "training" (*snort*), tired and draaaammaaa. Even longer story shorter - the most egotistical, self centered punk with no restraint works my account and manages to piss off every single person. Then apparently because I intimidate him *snerk* he tried to pull some shit on me. Apparently he doesn't know that I'll destroy his ass. I'll elaborate later. It's funny. It really is.

What's new? The cutest beagle wins the Westminster dog show, Castro quits, a new country was formed and a lunar eclipse tonight! This post is gonna take forever since I'm back and forth.

OK, this post page has been open forever now. It's now after 10pm and I just got back from outside. I started watching the eclipse from when it half way through, now it's completely red ^^ and my neck hurts (I'm gonna regret this tomorrow) and I'm feeling light headed (less blood in the head? :p)
Haha, the last time I saw a lunar eclipse was when I was around 9 or so and it freaked teh bejesus out of me. Why you ask? Weeell, my friend and I, in all our strange and mad reading moods decided to try and read the bible (it seemed interesting). I only made it through Genesis and Exodus, she made it to Deuteronomy (oh you know that was spell-checked) then we decided to skip to the more "exciting" parts which was Revelations. Made it through that mess and we didn't sleep well for days. Then the eclipse "moon turn to blood" popped up and turned me all religious for a few weeks back then >_<

Anyhoo, longer post tomorrow hopefully. *woozies out*
